My dog and his behaviour

How long have you had your dog?

We've had him around 14 months now, and he's about 7 years old. We don't know much about his history prior to that with him being a rescue dog, except to say we do know he's had a tough life and was previously attacked (scars to prove it). When we saw him at the rescue centre in the company of other dogs he was fine, and was actually being very friendly towards an exceptionally nervous puppy who had been very badly mistreated, showing her where to gofor safety, food and so on. It was heart-warming to see. I think we're at the same point as @Mayblossom, accepting him for what he is and accepting that he will always bark at (most) other dogs.

We may have to do that too, but we've only had him a couple lf months so worth persevering with him.
