Decided to take a walk in our local nature reserve this morning. It's been such a lovely day. Here we are soon after setting off. :)

Jonah

Here they come! :D

At one point Muffin & Jonah were tearing about at top speed (as whippets do!) in and out of the trees and scaring me to death, as usual! (w00t) Then there was a big whine from Jonah and I could see him on his back and for an awful couple of seconds I thought he wasn't going to get up. But thankfully, he did, and seemed none the worse for wear. :sweating: I think he'd 'discovered' a wire fence and hadn't seen it, ran into it and bounced off onto the floor. Thank goodness it wasn't barbed wire.

Come on, this way, says Muffin. 8)

Here's one for all you tree lovers - I discovered a new species - "Whippet tail-growing tree!

Tall trees. (w00t) I don't really like these pines as it makes the place so dark. And it was quite windy this morning and they were swaying and creaking - I was a bit worried they were going to fall on me! :sweating:

Just mooching. :huggles:

Here's the avenue of pines.

Lastly, Muffin looking rather regal.

I am getting the hang of it Trish but that was my old camera!  The Canon is a bit cumbersome to take on a walk on my own with the dogs. But I am in the process of uploading a few taken with my new camera, so will post them in a minute.

Here we go - a few more pics taken in the garden this afternoon with my new camera!

Look what we've found mum! :teehee:

Actually, the Sony has been a good little camera, but I think a couple of those pictures would have been a lot sharper with the Canon. I've yet to take it out with me, but next time Richard comes on a walk with me I think I'll give it a try.

If I had a lovely stick like that and someone tried to take it off me I'd run away :teehee:

Why do dogs love sticks so much? "Sorry lads, that's not actually a dinosaur bone, it's a stick"

Great photos Gillian, loved the one in the tall trees  I think Muffin and Oscar were seperated at birth - the way they stand and look and the pose.... I hope you can see it too... its quite uncanny... :) :huggles: and he does look very regal in that picture.

lovely photos, beautiful hounds and look at your bluebells  they are such gorgeous flowers but fragile - I'm amazed any are still standing after the thundering paws have passed ;)

Yes, Janis, I can see the likeness. I noticed how alike they were as soon as I joined K9 and like you say it is quite uncanny. :)
