The dogs have all been quiet even scarlets not been here ususly nightmare self. the one thats realy feeling it is Talula shes allways had milo here shes nearly 11 ad hes been about since she was a pup. shes normily a dramer queen so shes spent the last couple of days slumping down on the rug winging. she wont lye on milos dog bed yet she used to nick it all the time before. Talulas not a bright dog and were the others figuerd out he was old and frail and coming to his time Talula never did so now shes very confused
Think it's worse for the dogs, like you say some understand but if they've paired with someone it's heartbreaking as they're never the same.
K.B. was upset for quite a while after loosing Jack, he was really clingy with us which was so sad but with time he's found a mate with Ceri the greyhound.
Having youngsters around I think helps as they tend to be a distraction with their energy for play. The pups go out their way to give our old Joey lots of licks and while they're full of energy, they're reasonably thoughtful when they approach him.
Give it time Wendy, I'm sure she'll come round. :huggles:
I know this is a long time later Wendy and I may have replied on Facebook.....but Im so sorry for the loss of Milo and thinking of you and your family x
thanks we have just got back from hols and brought and new lad home on the way i thought when we get back i will pop the girls in the back room and let milo say hi first and settle him in it took a good few minets till i remebered hes not doing the hard work with new guys here anymore. but looks like hes past his skills to Forrets whos done exactly as milo would have and all the dogs are chilling as if nobody new here at all. hes allways going to leave a big hole here though he was one very speacil lad
