Some recommendations please, as a beginner in whippet racing what massage lotion would you suggest for effectiveness and value for money.

We use Trainers Choice. It smells nice and minty, and the dogs don't seem to mind it. When we used Curaco once the kep rolling over and over trying to get it off, and it made the skin peel on my hands  Not sure if it is sold anymore, maybe that's why!

My friend is an ex racing greyhound trainer and he swears by Neatsfoot oil, you can get it from any equestrian supplier.

On the advice of our wonderful whippet vet, we use "Muscle radiol" before racing., For any in between racing massages or for soothing after racing, I always use WELEDA ARNICA BALM.. available from Holland and Barrett

Thanks for that, curaco is still around.

I use MR muscle embrocation, this is for horses or dogs and can be bought in any saddlers or feed suppliers. It can be used neat or diluted. I have been using it on my dogs (ped and non ped) for 10 years.

Good luck with your racing.
