Is it Frank Sinatra? He looks like bit of a film star to me :teehee: am i right LOL

this is just a guess is it Charlie Stone whitstable kent !!!!!!!!!!!!

:teehee: Tony said he was still in nappies at that time of the photo if you don't mind cheeky b_____r. :teehee:

anyway when have you ever seen Tony in a shirt and shiny shoes when racing

I love the fact that some in the crowd are wearing SUITS!! Bring back the old days. I'm sure todays racers would look really dapper in a 3 piece suit rather than cut-off trousers and trainers.

Hi Lesley

Could be that we change the rules so that all owners have to 'dress appropriate - 'ties will be worn''

What do you think will it catch on?

Back to the pic - glad this one is making people think.

This 'Lure Driver' (and his wife) did do the Opens with there Whippets, but is was some time ago. They had Open class Whippets but as far as I'm aware did not make any up to Champion.

They were racing pre-WCRA and have raced their dogs at the WCRA Champs, etc.

Additionally, the cllub where this race is taking place is no longer running.

:teehee:

I know this was difficult but I thought some of the oldies would have got it!

Its Don Greenhalgh at the South End WRC, Essex

Don & Dot owned Mary Ann a good 18lbs bitch before the WCRA, but who ran as a Vet in the 70s.

Don & Dot weremembers of the Lansbrown club and lived in Harlow.

;)
