I seen a Lurcher today in Ashton -u-Lyne loose.It looked like Deerhound/Whippet maybe.It was around lunchtime and was trotting in the middle of the road.I attempted to coax it to come to me, but it was very timid.I returned to my car to get a lead and some food but lost it and drove around for nearly an hour looking for it , but never seen it again.I've contacted the Police and Wardens to let them know.It was in the Hurst Cross area of A-U-L.I hope it is safe and well and was only a temporary escape.

Have you looked on www.doglost.co.uk to see if there is one missing? I hope the poor little thing finds it's way home soon or you catch it.
D'you think it could be a whippet x beddie as they look like little deerhounds? I have one and they are usually around 20" or smaller depending on the mix. Lupin in avatar is 18" to shoulder.
