Hello , I have a 11 weeks old cockapoo - Loki. He is great and so so sweet but of course we have some hard time with him too. We have him for 2 weeks now and in the first week we were home with him. We had him in a pen in the first week and tried to teach him to stay at least a few hours there alone as our main concern was him being alone when we return to work. For 3 days he was in his pen, cried a bit each 2,3 hours but less everyday until he finally escaped from the pen . We now leave him in the living room and he is very calm and quiet when we are at work. He is using always the pee pads and we have a dog walker at lunch time so for poo he is doing almost all the time outside. I am a bit concerned that I wont be able to train him to pee outside anymore. When we go out now he will poo but wait and pee inside. Since we are back to work we cant take him out every 1,2 hours. Any advice ?

Also I live near Battersea park and I would love to meet other puppies that needs friends. My Loki is so excited around other dogs and I would like him to make some friends.

Welcome, your new pup sounds like a handful! Have you got someone who could let him out every hour (A friend/neighbour?) I don't really like puppy pads as they at first teach your dog to wee inside which is the opposite of what we want. When you let him out and he successfully does his business outside give him a big fuss like he has won the lottery this will make him think that if he does it outside he gets a good thing (i.e. Treats or a fuss or even a game of fetch.) Yeah, I'm sure if he is a friendly sociable pup he will be sure getting friends in no time. If he is really excited you can try the 3 second rule: stand about 4M away from the other dog get him to focus on you with treats or even squeezy cheese, then approach the dog count in your head 3 seconds and praise your pup after with treats a fuss and maybe even being able to see another dog! Hope This Helps - Violet :)
We love photo's!
