There has been a change to the conditions of entry to our Open this year and we have decided that we will run our Open under Lizard & District Club rules.

ALL dogs racing MUST show their W.C.R.A. Passport at the weigh-in as proof of identity and clearance BUT 2010 STICKERS are not required.

This is similiar to last year but this year all dogs must have their W.C.R.A Passport with them to run.

We are racing 150 yds scratch in two lbs groups not ex 17/not ex 19/not ex21/not ex 23/not ex 25/ not ex 27/not ex29/ not ex 32.

SUPREME RACING in two groups not ex23 and not ex 32 @1/2 yd per lb

Veteran groups over 140yds 14-20lbs 21-25 lbs 26-32lbs @ 1/2 yd per lb and yd per year

with VETERAN SUPREME

There should very soon be entry forms to download here on K9 and members are attending Glous, West Somerset and other meeting in the next few weeks with copies.Closing date is August 15th PROMPT please and there will be the usual wonderful refreshments available.

However our rules also state that dogs must be acceptable to the committee. Under this rule the club reserves the right turn away entries that are not acceptable to us.

I still can't understand how a WCRA affiliated club can refuse entry to a dog with a WCRA passport. What's the point in being affiliated to an organisation if you feel you can't trust their judgement about which dogs they issue passports to.

The point is, that any club is made up of members, each of whom are allowed to have their own personal opinions. The club as such has no opinion of it's own and accedes to the wishes of the majority - assume it is democratically run of course. The club does have it's own rules though, and if the committee decide to act in a particular way, then surely that is their choice. It may bring them into conflict with their affiliated body but that's for them to resolve in whatever way they decide to.

I won't be sending my own entry form off however. Frankie has HIS own opinion too - and his opinion is, that he won't run anywhere except Harvel
