i went to the vet last night as it was okd for me to go and see him after hours. he came out from the indoor pens still a bit wobbly and with a drip attached.

his pupils looked slightly dilated due to sedation but wasnt too bad. he was glad to see me and thought i was there to collect him, when i was about to leave he was out behind me !

he still hadnt eaten much but today he has had a go at a bitve chicken. they took xrays and have discovered he has a slightly enlarged heart, theyre unsure if its a valve or tissue so tomorrow hes allowed home and ive got to bring him to a specialist for ultrasound scans to be done on his heart the same day.

the bottom line is the vets still arent sure whats wrong with him, maybe these scans will show something.

To anyone who wonders why i seem to let this go on and on you have to understand that this "step backwards" has came at a time when Storm seemed to be better than he has for a whole year ! he has been fantastic until saturday morning when i noticed something.

heres a clip from thursday, does he look like a dog whos being forced to live ?

believe me when its our time to say adios ill know.. while he still fights like he is i back him up to the hilt !

Still sending positive thought for the pair of you John.

From reading your post, it sounds like someone has questioned you about why your fighting for him...whoever it is...tell them to stuff it, its obvious he's a fighter and wants to stay with you and you of all people know what is best for Storm.

i think if there was any question of him suffering needlessly your vet would tell you so and tbh like others have said the best person to judge is the person who knows that dog like no other,and thats john.hope he improves and is well again soon :luck:

hope he recovers j that vid shows a happy dog just having fun, you will know when its time to let him go, im so sad that he's so poorly, good luck with the specialist, hope he/she has some good news for you. we'l be sending you all the positive vibe we can.

Thanks for the update John, the little lantern is lit once more and is burning brightly on this bitter cold evening. We are keeping you and Storm in our thoughts.

Wish i could run after the young'ns like that.Think maybe he's more left in those leg's,than i have in mine.Rootin for you Storm. Billy...

I have been offline for a few days now so have just read this..........I wish Storm and yourself all the luck n the world he is such a fighter and with you doing the best for him what more could you ask for :luck: :wub:
