Jumping barking dragging

Hi I have 11 month miniature poodle male. I'm having a few problems with him, hoping I can get some help & advice.

1) he goes mad when someone comes in the house jumps up at them to the extent of knocking grandchildren over. If it is stranger's he growls at them if I don't get chance to put him in the kitchen.

2) when I take him for a walk he drags me & barks when he sees other people.

It sounds like basic obedience problems, you will need to introduce some training and at 11 months old he sounds like he needs it. You could start by finding local classes or introduce this yourself, my best advice is to go out for training and it will give him a chance to meet other people/dogs and get socialised. In the home he has gone into protect mode which with guest can cause problems.

If you do this he will calm down for sure, if you cannot go out to classes there are a few things you could try and they will involve 3 basic command training techniques sit/down and stay. Let us know here and I and others will give you some training tips.

Can I ask what things you've tried if anything to sort out these issues?

Also has he always been like this?
