Is there any lure coursing happening?

Does anyone know if the lure coursing has started up again?  If not do they know when it will?

Gary Peskett gave me a leaflet at Crufts about the BSFA's meetings this year.  The first one is at Radway on 24th June.  I haven't got the list with me at the moment, but I'll post the rest of the dates later.

The rest of the BSFA dates are:

22nd July - Falkland Farm

26th August - Brinsbury College

16th September - (can't remember venue, and I've given my leaflet away!)

4th November - Falkland Farm

depending on what part of the country you live in have you tried looking up www.sussexlongdogs.org.uk who hold both racing and lurecoursing meets for lurchers/greyhounds and whippets, hope this helps

I don't know about lure coursing, but do you want to try racing?  I race at a Pedigree racing club in Falkirk, its good fun, the dogs really enjoy it, all are welcome, we run each Sunday - if you are interested give me a ring 07768 687475 and I'll give you details

Thanks June. I have a heavy weekend ahead but will phone next week. I have two whippets, both rehomes. One is pedigree but I do not have the papers. I don't know anything about the breeding background of the other but the conformation is not good!

I would just like to come and see what it is all about in the first instance

For Kate in Fife.  There is Pedigree Whippet racing at Ochtertyre every Sunday with the Scottish Pedigree Racing Club.  For further information phone Denis & Flora Lindsay at 01786 870352.  We have a lovely time and the dogs really enjoy themselves.  Ochtertyre is near Stirling, by the Blair Drummond Safari Park.  Annette.
