Please dont feel bad about what has happened to lovely Indy. As already said it could have been any K9er.

Leia totally shattered her leg and had something like 19 pins in it and a plate but you should see her now (w00t) I wish we had been allowed to bring the x-ray home but even though WE PAID FOR IT it's not ours apparently :angry: so it has to stay with the Vet :angry:

Hi Rae,

we had this argument a few years back when we had to use a differant vet out side normal hours.

The Xray belongs to you, you pay the vet for a service the vet provides it and you are entitled to what they have produced ie: the Xray thats like them saying weve plastared your dogs broken leg but the plasters ours so you cant take it home?.

that info came from my own vet.

well took her back to the vets to have her plaster changed she has to have it changed every 2 weeks as she is still growing will be picking her up about 4 this afternoon

latest update on indy she has not got a plaster on but came out with a splint vet says she has healed really well and does not need another plaster :cheers: she is doing fine and getting back to causing havoc arround the house

Indy had her splint off yestrday and her legs healed well in only 4 1/2 weeks We thought it would take a lot longer. her skins a bit dry and sore but we poped some cram on and it looks a lot better and we now know how much fur a scrawney leg sheddes in that time . Shes still holding her leg up and theres no mussle tone but were moving it about and massageing it a lot so hopfully she will start using it again soon if nor shes back next we but it looks like she will theres movment starting. Anyone any ideas on good lotions or posions to use to help her would be great

Shes bouncing about now with 3 legs and a limp lettice hanging there thats her problem think she should have com home with sedition :lol:
