I have a 6 months old American bulldog mix rochweller and he’s the most loving dog but his behaviour is awful I’ve trained him and he doesn’t listen barking constantly at me wrecking furniture and skirting boards damaginthouse in a big way is there anything I can do I don’t want to give him away

Could you give a run-down of his daily routine please? e.g. walks (how many, how long, on- or off-lead), training, exercise, games, time left alone.

What have you tried to train him to do, and what methods have you used?

What do you feed him (including brand and variety)?

Who else is in the household with you? If children, how old are they?

Has he been socialised with other people and dogs?

He might be teething at the moment which will make him chewier than usual. He would benefit from lots of enticing toys to chew - some can be cooled in the freezer to soothe his gums, and some can have treats inserted or paste smeared ono make them more tempting.

The better a picture you can give of a typical day, the easier it will be to give the best advice.

Teething, combined with teenager? What training have you done already?

On YouTube there is a very good series of videos by kikopup. If you search 'Kikopup settle' that might be a good starting point.

Have you tried Bitter Apple Spray? it is a deterrent spray.
There is a great group on Facebook called beyond the bowl - K9 Enrichment, its a branch off from a book 2 behaviourists wrote, its all about how to stimulate and entertain your dogs. I know there can be many reasons why dogs can be destructive, and one of those is boredom, this group can offer support and advise on how to mentally entertain your dog.

*I am in no way connected to the group nor am I affiliated by them*
