How Do I Make

Nicky I bung a load of different veggies in a big pot and boil, then liquidise, love it!

sometimes I dry roast butternut squash and parsnips, onions and celery then boil all together

anything goes in the pot, with herbs and pepper

yum yum!!

This is the weight watchers one I used to do.

Carrots, swede, boil in pan, once all soft drain half water off and then liquidise.

Simple and yummy

nicky i make a really nice chicken and spud soup......
get 4/5 chicken legs /thighs..............

put them in a pan and cover them with water.........and bring to the boil and then simmer for about 25 mins........

when cooked take out the chicken DO NOT POUR THE WATER OUT........THIS IS YOUR STOCK !!!

get the chicken off the bone and throw away the bones !

put the chopped up chicken back into the pan with the stock and add chopped up spuds..........(i dont eat veg but you can add veg as well if you want )

add salt, pepper and some parsley or mixed herbs

then cover and put on a low heat on the hob for a good hour or so...........stirring every 10 mins or so..........you might need to add a bit of water.....it just depends how thick you want it :thumbsup:

you will know when its cooked the spuds with will be lovely and soft........ :thumbsup:

you can then keep some in the fridge for the next day.........just take out, add a little bit of water and heat in the microwave :thumbsup:

serve hot with some lovely warm bread :)

im guna try this tomoz ,now hely how muc water do i need ??just enough to cover the chicken ?and how big do i chop the spuds ? :* and do i just need it to buble a little for an hour or bubbling like mad ???

Use a big pan !!

make sure all the chicken is covered with water..............

spuds............just chop into chunks..........not to small

when everything is back in the pan just put it on a medium heat and cover........you will need to stir it from time to time so it doesnt stick and you can add water if you want to make it a bit thinner..........i like mine really thick almost like a stew :thumbsup:

when the spuds are cooked (soft) keep on the heat for another 20mins or so :thumbsup:

ooo yeh and one last question will it atomatically thicken as my lot dont like stuff watery :blink: and do i still need to add them stock cubes ?
 
no nicky you dont need to add any stock cubes..............the water you have boiled the chicken in is the stock...........thats why its important that you dont pour it away :thumbsup:
