ok i know your laffing now :b but me a (i hate cooking ,cant cook and buy tinned or frozen meals and take outs ) :b im doing this diet and it says i can have home made soups ,without salt or preservative :blink: and all the crap in it ,so come on give me sum recipies and a step by step guid for me to make an easy as possible soup that doesnt take to long to do :* oo yeh and no meat just vegtables :)

nicky i make a really nice chicken and spud soup......

get 4/5 chicken legs /thighs..............

put them in a pan and cover them with water.........and bring to the boil and then simmer for about 25 mins........

when cooked take out the chicken DO NOT POUR THE WATER OUT........THIS IS YOUR STOCK !!!

get the chicken off the bone and throw away the bones !

put the chopped up chicken back into the pan with the stock and add chopped up spuds..........(i dont eat veg but you can add veg as well if you want )

add salt, pepper and some parsley or mixed herbs

then cover and put on a low heat on the hob for a good hour or so...........stirring every 10 mins or so..........you might need to add a bit of water.....it just depends how thick you want it :thumbsup:

you will know when its cooked the spuds with will be lovely and soft........ :thumbsup:

you can then keep some in the fridge for the next day.........just take out, add a little bit of water and heat in the microwave :thumbsup:

serve hot with some lovely warm bread :)
 
well the bread and chicken i cant have or the salt ,but i can have more vegies if i cant use the chicken what else can i do to make the stock ?
 
why cant you have chicken??

well you can just make the stock with stock cubes nicky..........nice and easy :thumbsup:
 
why dont you just make a pot of Boiling Water ffsake nicky !! (w00t) (w00t)

or maybe even "Vegetabless Soup"....its tasty....or my fav "tomatoless soup" yummyumm !!

it says im not alowed ,because its a diet detox and im not alound only fruit and vegtables :blink:
 
[SIZE=14pt]leek and potato soup[/SIZE]

depending on how much you are going to make

1 onion chopped finely and and fried off with a little oil, add a few leeks chopped and fry off to add some stock made up to the quantity you want

you can get organic veg cubes which are low in salt

chop some potates into cubes and add the to the rest simmer for about an hour season to taste with pepper just before serving add some single cream and then eat

crusty bread goe's well with it

bit of pish

carrot and apple soup

bag of carrots chopped

apple chopped

onion chopped

about 1 and1/2 pints of veg stock

single cream

seasonings

a bay leaf

fry of onions until soft add apple and repeat then add the stock ,carrots and bay leaf bring to the boil and simmer for a bout and hour until carrots are soft

take out bay leaf and whizz up until smooth put back in pan and add cream just before serving seanson to taste

just use loads of different veg then.............cabbage soup is good

you will stink though :x

nicky, why dont you just eat a healthy diet..........breakfast, lunch and dinner...................no snacking

im sure when you are told not to eat a certain food it makes you wan to eat it even more :blink:

ooo yeh and wats the difference between soup and broth ,and how do i make broth ??omg bet you all think im so stupid ,but i havent got a clue ,ther on about some ingredients iv never even blooming heard of let alone seen :- "

lentil soup nicky,

not sure on the exact amounts as i do it by eye,

but grate about 5 corrots

chop a leak and an onion,

put olive oil (i use butter cause its nicer) in a pan and cook the veg for 5mins

plonk it in a pot and add stock (stockcubes veg or ham) mix the stock up how it says in the instructions you may need 2 or 3 cubes

add a couple of hand fulls of red lentles and cook for like half and hour,

yum.

this is the way my granny does it and shes makes the best soup in the world lol
