i agree, it does 'nt stand the dog out,if she had dark trousers the whippy would stand out!!!! i have only been taught not to wear same colour as your dog

I must admit that when i first saw the picture of Dolly Dove on this site, i did think that she was beautiful  ......It's nice to see a Whippet with such clean, simple, elegant and un exaggerated lines IMO :D .......I would love to see her in the flesh as i really don't think that i'd be disappointed........All of this from someone who hasn't shown properly for years :b .....but that is the type of Whippet that could tempt me back into the ring :)

What about a mini skirt?

It must be very difficult if you are showing several dogs of different colours knowing what to wear. If I had such a lovely whippet I wouldn't care because I think the quality of the dog will shine through. As long as I was clean and tidy that would do. !! We watched Best-in-Show being judged at an open show on Monday, I can tell you all the group winners, their colours and how well they moved, what I can't tell you is what the handlers were wearing. The same goes for the Best Puppy awards. Do I sound very old fashioned and out-of-touch?

No - because that is as it should be .... you shouldn't remember what the handlers were wearing because they're not there to draw the attention AWAY from the dog and to themselves. They are supposed to wear clothes that compliment the dog - and by "compliment" I don't mean something that your dog blends into. The judge needs to be able to see your dog clearly when they stand back at a distance and cast an eye along the line - not lose it into the background of your clothes. ;)

My apologies Patsy, as nice as Dolly is, in that pic she does tend to disappear into your white jeans. :b
