A large quality entry in excess of 100 whippets gathered at Honeyhills for its first open, in what was probably the hottest day of the year; we were reliably informed it was hotter than Tenerife. massive well done to one and all yesterday, the ice cream van was a very welcome sight in the afternoon :sweating: :sweating: :sweating:

my lot are recovering at home today, Peppermint Perfection has a sore stopper pad but other than that they are all fine if not alittle worn out (oh love Mondays = sleepy whippets)

I think Honeyhills put on a brilliant oped yesterday and all your ard work and dedication paid off, the track looked great and you all worked so hard :sweating:

some very good racing the savernake pups did well with Cally taking her group and supreme way to go little girl :thumbsup:

and our Roxy did us proud and we had quiet a few compliments about how well she ran thanks for that )

what can I say about Bob and Maddie except we are very proud of them both and we love seeing them run together and we never minds which one comes out on top

because we race has a family its all good )

Just to keep people updated. Ozzie is now up and about on all four legs, albeit slightly wobbly. 3 legged peeing is a no-no at the moment, but at least he tried! The vets examination showed he is still numb over his back from the end of ribs to pelvis, but on the positive side he is continent, isn't knuckling over, and is improving all the time.

We are holding off on MRI scanning 'cos as yet it won't change the treatment, which is cage rest for at least a week, antiinflamatories and painkillers. Thankfully the painkillers leave him sleepy so he doesn't mind the cage but I'm not sure how long that will last.

i would like to say a big,big thank you to all who helped me yesterday from, Judy who looked after Indi, Geoff and Daphne who came to the vets with me, all those of you who helped me control Oz when he went down, and of course all who so generously donated to his treatment. I can never thank you enough. Thanks too for all the phone calls. I'll keep you posted on his progress.
