So sorry to hear that it has returned so quickly. You are doing what is best for Tilly.

I would like to tell you about the dog that belonged to an elderly gentlman who lives not far from us. He was a JRT and was PTS a few weeks ago. This little dog was 13 years old but was diagnosed as having cancer and given just a few months to live 4 years ago. I also work with a man whose labrador was diagnosed as having lymphoma 12 months ago he too was only given a month or 2 to live. Both took the same decision as you that is not to go for the chemo. I know its not always the case and cancer can worsen quite quickly but I thought you might like to know that it doesn't always happen so quickly.

I hope that this is true for Tilly, but as the lump in in her throat, i fear it will grow so big it will restrict her breathing and so the only option will be to have it removed again or have her PTS. :(

Update

The lump is back in the same place, just as big.

I cant keep having the lump cut out, its not fair on her to keep going under the anaesthetic.

So I think we will just have to let her carry on till the time comes.

I am gutted, words cant express how I feel :(

I am so very very sorry, and cant imagine how you must feel. :'(

Enjoy Tilly and the rest of her life...however long or short it may be... :huggles: :huggles:

she derserves nothing but the best.

Its been an age since I last posted, but thought I would up date you on Tilly....

Well she is still here :) the lump is the size of my fist, she has lost loads of weight, but is still going. I have taken her to the vets and they seem happy with her, she is eating, sleeping and drinking and can still give Scrumpy a run for his money when she wants to.

I cant believe she is still here after 3 years

wow cant believe that either, as long as shes in no pain thats good, got to be honest where theres a lump and if its cancer i dont put them through it, to me and for me they just dont deserve the agony, but saying all that am glad for that your getting that extra time,

Aww glad to hear Tilly is going ok still and hope she as lots more time left with you :))
