Welcome! What breeds are your dogs? Nineteen is a great age for a cat :)
 
I have one lurcher (see avatar), and a 21-year-old cat (who is rather wobbly now). I love dachsunds, they have so much personality. Though I often think they could do with an extra pair of legs halfway along!
 
Hi,
I don’t have much experience of dachshunds, but one of the family recently got a rescue standard, long-haired dachshund. He is a real stunner and such a gentle and laid-back lad that I am rather taken with them now.

Thanks for the welcome,I've been lurking for over a year.
Me too with the cat ,but did find it a pain although they all got on OK. The dogs were constantly after the cat food and cat poo ! Yuck!

I love the Standards.Although mine are both minis the boy is a big mini, he's wire-haired.
 
Hello,I've only ever met the scruff side of the Dachshund... The mighty Teckel, small in stature but one hell of a dog.

Yes, that's what mine are, but show lines. Mighty in character ( and voice ) is about right !
