Fergal ...

Joe,what breeding is Stanley? :) I think he looks very nice & what a wonderful gleam to his coat

Stanley looks great Joe, just needs to fill out and settle down into himself.

Jax pet hate is feet, I always seem to be worrying about size, has Fergal been measured yet? I wont matter how good he look if he ends up 23". I had a beautiful dog once, I couldnt fault him but he got too big, its the one thing people notice above all else when they see you in the ring.

Thanks for the nice comments :D , he is actually just about 11 months now but still quite (very) gangly I think he is going to be a very slow maturer - but I don't suppose thats a bad thing! His feet are nicely knuckled but really quite big, doesn't help they are white - I never realised how colour could be quite so deceptive! Stanley is 20.5"

He is out of Satin Bow to Charford (Susan Bairds breeding - litter sister to Ch Shoe Buckle & Silken Bustle), sire is Charford Westward.

:D By gum, you can certainly tell that he's a Nevedith, lovely bone and really good in pastern. I think he looks adorable. Very good at stacking especially if you're not used to it. Go to the ringcraft classes and to Open shows cos I'm sure you will have lots of fun with him.

Just measured Fergal and he's currently 19.5" (ish) - so not too enormous yet but I know it varies how much they grow after 5 months!

Different lines grow different! I have a friend who would feint if one of hers was 19.5" at 5 months, but then hers grow slowly and for a long, long time - personally I wouldn't worry, but then mine are finished height wise around 6-7 months.

Haven't you started going to ringcraft yet?  Nag nag.
After saying that I hope that I've got the correct person and you are in Gloucestershire.  If you are near to Gloucester they have companion shows somewhere near the rugby ground every month on a Saturday which is a nice place to start showing.  There was one at Whitminster (A38 south of Gloucester) last weekend.
Thank you for the nag! :D Yes - you have got the right person!

We're going to try to get to the ringcraft in Stonehouse tomorrow (Wednesday) evening and see how that goes! Will let you know! :)

Looking forward to entering some companion shows when he's old enough (although life is going to get very hectic again for a while as we're getting another puppy of the two legged variety sometime within the next month!!   ).

Fergal has now been to his first ringcraft - he thought it was fantastic - loads of treats and loads of new 2 legged and 4 legged friends to meet! :D

Here he is with hubby learning all about tables!
