Hi Hely, Sarah, Clair, Trac, and anyone else who shows up. Wasn't it a gorgeous day today? I had an hour and a bit topping up my tan, and although I'd planned to do lots of things, I didn't do any of them. Been playng with my new phone, and downloading music, and generally messing about all day - well it is Sunday, a day of rest eh Clairy?

 

Its been nice - well up until the phone call from my brother............ the kids have been harping on for a dog, and they have just seen Marley and Me, and guess what, they have been and bought a Labrador pup today -_- I did try to warn them, but no they didn't listen. All very nice now, but when its wrecked the house, and it grows into a bounding great underexercised lolloping lump, and the kids have grown tired of it - they will regret their decision.

 

They are too busy for a dog, and really shouldn't have had one yet. My sister in law is quite sensible, but since she saw Marley and Me, she has been wanting a dog. She says all kids should have a dog, and I do think she is right - but not a great big one! Just have to see how our pack get on with it now - or our visits won't be quite so often. I think we need to get down there smartish, and get them socialised.

 

I don't know how the rest of you find it, but because our dogs rarely meet other dogs other than whippets, they don't take all that well to them. Other than Smidge and Squeaks who love everyone and everything :wub:

...and the rescue centres will be too in a few months - didn't realsied people really did that - see a film then buy the dog

morning all! god,i fell asleep on the settee at 7 woke at 9 then went to bed where i have just woke up....must have needed the kip had a great day yesterday..soooooooooo hot though...shouldnt moan but the dogs cant take the heat can they? some beautiful dogs there..had one ring for greyhounds and another for crossbreeds...slip got 2nd in best rescue bitch...blue got 2nd in best dog and flynn got a 4th ,coco got 1st in best longdog but lost out in best of show to a 3 legged lurcher who was just gorgeous

God no june, been there wore the tee shirt, and then re-cycled it

its a friends wedding and her mum and dad think they are the dogs gonads :wacko:

well gypsy is getting worse with other dogs.......shes ok if shes off the lead but if one comes up to her when shes on it she goes mad !

not sure why she had got so bad, would it be cos she is a only dog?? my mums dog is the only one and shes fine with other dogs.....cant see thats its something we have done....she has always been fine with mums and sisters dogs :wacko:

 

we were out this morning and this big lab can running up to her...she was not happy and i asked the lady to come and get him..she told me he just wanted to play!! i told her that gypsy didnt and could she please come and get him!!.....she laughed it off and carried on walking :rant: ....the dog was being a right pain and im sorry to say gypsy went for it !!!

the woman ran back and told me ....."you should have that bloody greyhound muzzled" :rant: :rant: :rant:

i told her if she had removed her dogs nose out of my dogs arse like i asked her to there wouldnt have been a problem !!!!!!!!!!

 

she isnt a horrid aggressive girl..she is just very worried around other dogs..why the hell should i muzzle her !!!!!!!!!!

 

and she ISNT A BLOOGY GREYHOUND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gripe of the day.

was driving on the bypass to asda and it clearly stated a way back that the inside lane is closed due to roadworks so we all dutifully moved into one lane of traffic..then what can only be described as a PRICK came haring up in his beamer (not saying all beamer owners are pricks but he defo qualified) with music thumping loud trying to edge his way in...but I wouldnt cos that bugs the hell out of me..it really does..and i think the rest of poole do too cos no one would let him in!!!! HAH!!!!
