Earth Tremor?, Uk

Well i was fast asleep didnt feel a thing and im in wales :sweating:

We were woken up by a bang and the wardrobe rattling, of all things. It was 1 am in the morning. I looked out the window, but nothing was stirring, so we went back to bed. In some ways I was almost relieved to discover it was a minor earthquake  as I thought our terrace was slipping into an old mine shaft :b , and it played on my mind for a while.

It was rather unnerving.....but it wasn't as bad as the earthquake we had a few years ago in Manchester. The eight story Mill building I work in wobbled like jelly. That was really scarey

My bedroom mirror was rattling on the wall. I had just been watching the "All New Most Haunted" before bed and I just covered my head over as I thought it was a ghost (w00t) !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :sweating:

SORRY GUYS, I ROLLED OVER SO FAST LAST NIGHT ... DARN NEAR BOUNCED IAN OUT THE BED  :b

Im a deep sleeper and didnt feel anything though it did hit us.

i woke up and saw it on the news though. I well wanted to wake up. it would have been well cool! I thought everyone in england who had expirenced it would be well terrified as its not england/wales/scotland like as thats where it hit.

I went into school and EVERYONE was talking about it and our geography lesson was just a big discussion about it!

One of my friends woke up and thought someone was shaking his bed so he picked up a golf club and starting wafting it about just incase someone was there lmao!

i was in that half asleep state somewhere between sleep and awake when the wardrobe and dressing table started to rattle.at first i thought it was razzle scratching and making everything shake but when i sat up and looked she was just sititng there looking at the wardrobe.so i just thought oh it must be the cats running around lay back down and promptly went back to sleep, hubs slept right through it and none of the dogs barked.

the earth certainly moved for me... i had fallen asleep on the settee and had stumbled my way upstairs when it happened. i, like you kris, thought it was one of the dogs scratching. the wardrobes were rattling and house shuck.

none of the dogs made a sound... -_- -_-

Slept right through it! dogs didn't wake up either :D

WELL THE EARTH NEVER MOVED FOR ME DOWN HERE IN SOMERSET. :- " (w00t)

The epicentre was Market Rasen..only 6 MILES FROM OUR VILLAGE !! It was scary ! We were all woken up and the dogs barked, they didn`t like it but the other animals were fine....I went out to check the pigs but they were snoring merrily !!

After we checked that the house was still standing we had a cup of tea !! Haha !!

Same as Kris, I thought it was one of the dogs scratching & making the wardrobe shake. None of the 3 dogs even woke up & me & Neil just half woke up, wondered what it was & went back to sleep. Only heard on the radio this morning what it was.

Amazingly the van alarm didn't go off cos just very heavy rain or hail will usually set it off. But apparently not an earthquake
