Hi, thank you for letting me join the forum. We are first week into owning our new 10 week old golden retriever pups X 2!! We had two from the same litter before who were exceptional dogs so thought it would be a good idea as hubby has just retired to do the same again - what else can you do in lockdown??!. Have to be honest and say that my memory chose to delete the first stage of puppy ownership so boy has it been a baptism of fire so far. Please tell me this all gets better so I do not have to turn to alcohol and chocolate! Being serious they are very hard work but so cute when they are asleep...... anyone have any tips for GR ‘s

If you haven't already done so, do some research on littermate syndrome. Raising two is do-able but expect it to be a lot more work - everything will take three times the effort (training each thing to each pup separately then training the two together, plus dealing with them distracting each other).

As I said, do-able but it will take a bit of commitment.

Thank you Joanne, I’ve read up on the syndrome not having experienced this with our other dogs will make sure we do our best not to fall into the trap of allowing this to start.
