Dog sits close to fire, why does she sit so close ?

Hi I have a 3year old English bull terrier cross staff. she likes to sit close to our Igenix fire, am worried it will burn her nose, but she loves it so much.

all she does is sleep by the fire or stare into thin air, any body know why?? she is a strange dog.

Dogs to like to get as close to heat as possible. Would you consider a baby style fire screen to prevent her getting too close?
