Hi All,

i'm usually in the puppy forum, but thought I'd venture in to the grown up bit for this query :)

I was wondering what tips people had for washing pet hair off clothes. Of course I want minimum effort :) Stuff I've heard of/ tried so far: Pre wash cycle ....vinegar.....tumble drier.

Thank you all.

The only thing I would say is to use a clothes brush/lint remover before you put clothes in the wash...getting dog hairs off first is the best way as I find once the hairs have got wet they stick like glue.

I'm sure I saw a brush with silicone bristles somewhere recently for removing pet hair - maybe Sainsbury?

I have one, think I got it from a shop on-line, it's great for the sofa and car seats but doesn't seem to work very well on clothes.

Equine wash bags - the hair gets washed out of your clothes but gets trapped on the inside of the bag and easily removed. It also make sure it doesn't clog up your washing machine.

This sounds amazing! Definitely need to invest.

Thanks all.
Will look at the equine wash bags.
Trying to get the hair off before the wash is quite a chore so if there is some washing setting/washing machine related solution that would be great.

Those wash bags look very interesting. Never seen them before.
Do you put all your clothes in there or just the very "hairy" stuff :)

I have a non moulty breed but it’s a lifesaver for washing lab hair out of my cottages fleecy throws!

I just remove hair with a lint roller before washing normally, they're fab little tools, removes all the hair easily :)
