aww lucky boys! :D:D

Me neither - unless I happen to have any cake in the house as it's a good excuse as any!

Yes of course! The staff got champagne. Harri got a new ball and something very tasty!

Of course, they have so little time with us and many of my dogs actually enjoyed the thrill of opening presents so birthday or gotcha day we celebrate.. These photos show Benny's last and Murphys first birthdays..

Sorry, I'm a real meanie these days:(

I don't. I occasionally remember he is a dog and as such has no idea what birthdays and Christmas means.

I baked Bax a cake for his first and i still try to celebrate it in some less cake filled ways these days (he'll be 5 in january). the trick to it though is that i have always celebrated it on the wrong day. since he was a pup i always celebrated it the day before mine (the 17th) looked at his vet records a couple days ago and its actually like the 21st.... poor pup must be so confused!

Nope, must just be me being an old grouce but I am sure Folly does not have the slightest idea about birthdays etc so I dont do anything different on that day. She does of course get loads of treats and fussing most days so she will get those.

We don't know his birthday, (stray), so we will celebrate immigration day, as it is the same day as my immigration day, just 20 years apart and then celebrate adoption day! Just another excuse for his owners to have more wine! :)

We had Jimmy for two years this Saturday. He got a bag of pig's ears (God, they stink) and a rope toy, other than, no celebration, other than recognising the joy he's brought to our lives (and the occasional stressy moment too!).

Happy gotcha day this (my bold) is a good a reason as any to celebrate and I think for that alone he deserves a treat.
