For many reasons (that i'm sure will pour forth from others shortly) I'd steer your friend towards a whippet - they come really quite dinky (from some lines) but are much more robust and laid back than IGs

lol I think that applies to whippets to definatly my girl who at this moment is guarding a pizza crust she stole of the jack russell o

I started to tell my friend the problems italians can have and she stopped me before I had finished saying maybe they wasnt for her. I think she knew anyway but needed to hear it from someone else.

IG s make wonder ful pets they are gorgeous but would not recommend if you have big dogs that are boysterous. Definately a top dog for anyone sensible and caring and with a fair share of common sense. They are simply perfect pets. Love affection and are, in my dogs' case, most loyal and faithful a dog you could wish for. As with any pet think first and be 110% that you are in the right position for a life time of commitment and love. All the best REGARDS amanda.
