Here's a pic of me in my country music phase - you all look hard for me at Crufts now ..won't you! ;) I'm sure to be there looking just like that ..... :D

Having suggested the time I hope I get there in time :D :D

I went to Crufts on Thursday (to see if you COULD melt plastic with excessive use). We left Sheffield at 09:10 and got into Crufts well after 12:00 noon. Normally expect an 1 1/2 hours or so. We left the halls at 17:00 and I arrived home at 20:30.

Just heard on Radio2 that they were queing an hour to get into the car-park today.

OK we will just have to set off before we go to bed; after a breakfast of cold gravel (now where did that come from? )

This I know is a REALLY dumb question but I am a dumb animal so please don't shoot me! :wacko:

Is it possible to take dogs (other than show entrants) to Crufts?

I would really love to go tomorrow-for whippy shopping as much as anything else but the thought of leaving Rupert for such a long time is awful.

If I could take him with us I could have a guilt free (but exhausting) day.

Oh and I could stalk Lyd in an attempt to get to the mini-eggs :p
 
Nope sorry only dog s entered can attend , , :( and to be honest with you you wouldnt want to be dragging a dog round , there are far too many peps there . :angry:

At least when your dog is entered you can leave him on the bench allocated .

Its not ashow that a dog would enjoy being taken round , its all indoors and nowhere can he have a run .

Even Championship shows in the summer you can`t take dogs that arn`t entered. :(
 
To be honest I thought that was the case....think Rupe will be relieved-as of course will my credit card company!

Oh my god I cant wait. Where is the whippet Rescue stand and what time does crufts open its 9 isnt it???
 
must admit,my nerves are starting to jangle a bit :sweating: I don't think i'll see my bed tonight cos i need to get up at2.30am (w00t) To make matters worse,we're forecast frost overnight & that scares the hell out of me driving on slippy roads.Hopefully see you at 10 at whippy rescue stand.

Well I very much doubt that Lyd will get there by 10 am.

1) She's showing in Hall 1 :oops:

2) She's showing a bitch the dogs start at 8.30am. And we'll have to pack up all of our worldly goods and move them to the whippet benches. :oops: But I can't see her getting from Hall 1 to the JR Whippet Rescue stand in time.

3) And lastly but certainly not leastly. As everyone who's ever met Lyd will testify she never, ever shuts up. (Well does she? :teehee: ) Can you just imagine the number of people that she'll have to talk to on her way from Hall 1. Firstly there will be ALL of the MT people. Then there will be 5 million Joe Bloggies who she's never met before but nope that won't stop her. (w00t) Then there will be all of the trade stands on the way which neither of us will be able to resist. :- "

And oh god I've just remembered there's John who no doubt will be off on the first of his marathon shopping expeditions :huggles: and we won't have a clue where he is or how to find him. And we'll need John to carry all of our worldly goods and move them to the whippet benches. :sweating:

We might just get over to the whippet folks by the end of the judging. (Should get there to watch you Hannah :thumbsup: ) Hope to see some of you there. I wonder if I'm ever going to get my grooming bag back? :- "

Maybe what's needed is a trail of mini eggs. Yes that might work Lyd wouldn't want anyone eating her mini eggs or even worse standing on them. They might get her to the whippet benches in record time. :- "

So if anyone spots Lyd rushing along with a fat woman holding mini eggs in front of her nose, and a blokey all weighed down with show stuff oh and a wriggly, giggly little black and tan dog. It'll be us. :thumbsup:

Um, I came to your bench,met some toy boy you said was your step son,stroked the dogs and still didn't get one mini egg :( .

I've heard that the protest was about IAMS and Vivisection. Haven't a clue if this is true or not.
