If you have kept both breeds & obviously know about them .............WHY do you now want info on crosses?

-_-

If one had of kept both breeds together for any amount of time unless you were incredibly stupid :- " you would have an insight into exactly what the 2 would be like crossed.

Perhaps someone should point him in the direction of Epupz as there are plenty of money makers on there selling just these.

Hi Tony - you've stumbled into a great big minefield here....a very old and worn argument is going to be played out again (or at least I'd be very surpised if this thread doesn't go that way!)

Please don't take it personally - the vitriole will be aimed at each other rather than you - it will just be done via the medium of your innocent opening question

I've met some IG/Whippy crosses and they were very nice dogs......however IG' blood is waaaaay to manic for me - but if you've kept them in the past I'm sure you'll know this about them

That's rather like the pot calling the kettle black now isn't it!!!!

It does amuse me how the same old trouble makers from other forums can't wait to cause trouble on the Iggie forum :- "

BOOOORING!!!!!!!!!!!! -_- -_- -_-

SHOCK HORROR ANOTHER ONE OUT OFF THE BOX LOL QUICK TO JUDGE PEOPLE BY THERE OWN STANDARDS

Hi Tony unfortunately you have asked a very emotive question that has been debated previously. If you look back on previous posts you will see that there has been adverts for Iggie crosses in Countrymans weekly. There are plenty of Iggie crosses being bred so if you want one you will surely get one.

As for everyone else this is a subject that you will just have to agree to disagree. It is very easy for those with little or no experience of owning Italian Greyhounds to pass judgement on matters concerning their future and welfare. As with full bred Italians it will be the Italian Greyhound rescue who will be picking up the dogs and rehoming them not you. Nor are you the ones who travel hundreds of miles in their own time and at their own cost when a call comes in saying come and pick this dog up now or else (and those calls are made to all breeds not just Iggies)

For those in the breed why do you keep rising to the bait? You have all had your say there is nothing more to add. All you are contributing to is a slanging match which no one wins  Who cares what people outside the breed think or say? You are not going to stop people breeding indiscriminately, you are not going to stop these dogs being homed unsuitably by people who dont care. You dont have to justify yourselves or the breed to anyone so dont bother trying.

It is a pity that other posters like Urchin have to warn a new poster like Tony what to expect as a result of his innocent post (And yes folks there are innocent posts out there, they are not all trolls, and trolls couldnt function as trolls if people didnt respond!!)

welcome to k9! sorry to see how your first posting has gone but its only because they care about the breed so much, please stick around and join in
