Cost of show Entries

From what I've heard the working class in Sweden is only for lure coursing dogs, isn't it Henrik?
Yes at the official shows it's so but at our unofficial whippet club shows racing dogs with a license can also enter in the working class.

When I judged a specialty in Finland they had a working class and a super working class. In the working class dogs with a license from coursing or racing could enter and in the super working class dogs carrying a working champion title was entered - quite interesting!!

Thanks for clearing up how the working class works on the continent!!

Henrik you are welcome! ;)

I believe it can be sometimes very interesting to judge the working class. Here in France our biggest show is the "Nationale d'Elevage" (French Specialty) and usually the working class is very strong (20 to 30 dogs + the same in bitches). The rule I told you about is The FCI rule but as the French Specialty is a National show it is under French rules which are a bit different: the whippet needs to have had at least 2 "Excellent" ratings in officials competitions.

Very oftenly the very much convoted CAC (that you need among other wins to become a French Champion.... including at least a "very good" rating at an official racing or coursing competition) went to the working class e.g in 2003 REVE ORANGE du Manoir de la Grenouillere (my Mojo, just 2 years old at that time won the open and got RCAC :b ).... etc.....

The French Whippet Club (CFW) has a very strong principe in "beau et bon" (translate beautifull and good  ) which means a very nice conformation combined with the best possible racing/coursing abilities so it goes in that sense.

Please forgive my english faults :b

Greetings from France! :)

:clown: How about this for wasting money? Entered 3 dogs at SKC, two Whippets and an IG, only to realise that AFTER I'd entered on line and it had taken my money that I was judging on the same day.

As Bart Simpson says, DOH.

At least I've saved the petrol money etc and fortunately some friends will show my Iggie.

Worst of all I'll miss Zilloot and his wonderful pictures.
