From 16th to 18th May 2008 we're running a Clicker Camp, at a campsite in the beautiful Peak Disrict National Park. On the Sunday afternoon we are alo hoping to run a dog show.

Both Events will be in aid of Sheffield Dog Rescue.

Prices for the clicker camp should be around £18 for one day £30 for the weekend, plus camping fees (approx £10 per night).

Booking will be needed for this event (not for the dog show, just the Clicker Camp) as we have had quite a bit of interest so far, however I do believe it is still a bit too early so booking won't be open until around November. I'll post full details of the exact cost by then along with all the events taking place.

We are making this a social event aswell as just a training event and places will be available for people just wanting to come just to socialize.

Apart from the Clicker Training the weekend will include a stew on the Friday evening and a BBQ on the Saturday evening, (a long with a few drinks to wash it all down ;) ), walks along the Monsal Trail, Fun and Games with the Dogs and demonstrations.

We should have confirmation by a week on Thursday as to whether we can also run a dog show.

Anyone up for it?

Paul

Yes it sounds like another great way of meeting and chatting to other Dog/Whippet owners. Count us in.

It doesn't matter who you know, you'll get to meet plenty of people, all in the same boat, i.e. don't know anyone else, and from all the people that have said they are going, that I know they are very friendly people.

All mine are crossbreeds and well over 50% of the dogs that I know are doing this event are crossbreeds.

Sounds a great idea. Look forward to meeting lots of new people there.

Just checked out http://frizbeedogz.com/ and that looks great fun. Will have to look into it more as that might just be what one of my dogs needs to lose some of the energy ... she definately has the bounce.

FrizbeeDogz certainly is fun and burns loads of energy. BUT this looks like the last year we'll be running competitions as we've had very few people doing it this year.
