Hey all,

I am new here so I apologise if this is the wrong area of the forum! I own a 6 month old Staffie Pup, who is a little darling but we have run into a snag. I brought a new property and moved in a week ago. Whoever owned the house before clearly had dogs and have literally allowed them to poop everywhere in the back garden, there's not a three square foot area without at least 2-4 piles within it and its clearly been there a while.

Ive attempted to clean it up but its been raining so much over the past few months that its just turned to mush and is impossible to get even 50% off the grass, it comes to something where my pup wont even go in the garden and hates the smell and I frankly find it vile.

I know its a long shot but does anyone have any idea how to get rid of this stuff, it wont pick up and its mashed into the lawn. If i have to kill the grass and relay it next year.....so be it. but I cannot leave it like this!

I did consider spraying the lawn with jeyes fluid or something to that effect and isolating it for a time for it to become safe before re-grassing the garden.

Any advice?

I would have sprayed the garden with effective microrganisms.. google those words /// its a natural bacterial eating organism.

If it's really that bad then maybe remove affected areas & re-turf.Spraying with Jeyes afterwards to kill anything left is a good idea anyway.
