Hello folks....puppy is doing really really well now and it getting on better with our other dog Tizzy. Would just like some advice about what to give her to chew. She isn't chewing any furniture or anything, its mainly our fingers, hanging on to clothing when we walk and any shoes that we leave lying around. As you can imagine her teeth are like needles.....and even though they are really small they hurt like hell when she starts nipping, although I know its only her way of tasting.

She's had some puppy chews from the pet shop but they dont last very long :))

any suggestions would be great

Thanks.

P.s. il put some photos on here of her very soon

you can get some nylabone things in a 3pack for puppy adolescent and adult, they're hardish nylon with some kind of flavouring and last well.... Also those knotted cotton rope things are pretty good, our pup at work had one, in the shape of a crab that she slowly chewed the legs off, it was pretty good for waving at her to distract her from chewing on trousers or the other dogs..... :)

if she hurts your fingers when nipping, its up to you to teach her when she is doing it too hard. Some people say never let a puppy nip your fingers, but I personally like playing with puppies when they chew on you. I won't tolerate surprise bitings, or nipping to get me to give them a toy or whatever, but i love a good wrestle and being gently chewed. if she nips too hard give a firm no and stop the game. If she is doing crazy-dog bitings, then give something else for her to play crazy with.

Good luck, photo's please :)

thanks very much for your advice, il certainly try those things :)
