Does anybody have any news on the dog (think it was a veteran) that was rushed off to the vets ?

Fingers crossed,

Scott.

Hi Scott

It was Flybynite that was injured.

I have just spoken to Daphne Kitchen, her owner and she says that I can tell you all what has happened.

The vet that was local to the field just made sure she was OK to travel really. Daphne then took her to her own vet last night who made an appointment with a specialist for this morning. She had to leave Cassie there for X-rays and a myelogram and if he felt surgery was called for he was going to do it straight away. He has just phoned her though to say that she doesn't need surgery, there was a bit of blood in her spinal fluid but that she has just hyperextended herself and that she may make a full recovery.

Cassie obviously won't race again but Daphne is just so pleased that she still has her pet that I don't think it really matters to her at all about the racing.

So really not nearly as bad as it could have been :D Thank Goodness!

Thank goodness! I'm very pleased to hear this news.

Great news Judy, she's been a realy good servant for Daphny

Thanks for the update Judy. It was kinda spooky that everyone seemed more concerned than the dog, but I'm really pleased she's Ok.

Scott.

Hi Vicky

Our Bitch ~ Parkstone Lucky Charm got badly hamperd at the boxes ran on strong but came 3rd :( (only the 1st & 2nd progress)

Scotts El Diablo ~ Came out well looked like going through to 2nd round but the dogs came across on him slightly foucing him to check he ran on but finished 3rd. :(

Stephen ~ Goodnight Vienna traped slowly tried hard but came 4th (but she's a better bend bitch) :(

Keith never cam with Rolling Thunder as he's still in hospital. :(

And Robin Heatons pup bitch came 2nd in her heat and semi but in the final somthing upset her and she stopped, not sure what happened as i'd already left for home. :(

not sure whats made him feel worse being i'll or missing the open last week & the champs yesterday.

he'll be back soon :)

Really pleased that Cassie is not as bad as she looked, keeping our fingers (and paws) crossed that she makes an excellant recovery, maybe you, Judy, could send all our best wishes to Daphne, and Guy (my black) sends his love to Cassie.

Lyd

Glad to hear the news also. Our best wishes to Daphne and Cassie too. Cassie's pups are all doing well, so at least Daphne can watch those running. ;)

I'll let Daphne know about all your good wishes for Cassie and keep you updated on how she is. She might be able to come home tomorrow. :)

:D Here's hoping she does :D

Thanks for that Judy, and for keeping us informed.

Lyd

We'll be there on the 27th and heaven help anybody who gets in our way at the turn!

Diesel!

Mark why? I know Scott's car is a mini, but one in the back, one on the passenger seat, no problem.

Lyd

Ah but they have 5 whippets + him & Jo + Jorden (his nephew not son) so although a very close familey I think they would still struggle in a mini ???

To get back on topic.....

Cassie is home :D

And she can weight bear on her hind legs even though she isn't to good at walking yet. The vet told Daphne that he was amazed at how much better she is already. So is Daphne - and very relieved too :D
