So I'm looking for some good links/ ideas for things to do inside with Teddy in the evenings. If it's training, then a bonus. I think someone posted a link to basic training that was in ladder-like steps? If that makes sense. Or a programme of training would be good, that we could work through. Basically something aimed at idiots :D

Levels Training. :)
Not for eejits. :) Actually, it’s a carefully written-out DIY manual for the entire foundation of training for any dog, whether U intend to compete in a sport, have a polite pet who is welcome virtually anywhere, lay a basic course to later develop a Service Dog for public access, or even shape yer dog for a future career in film or on stage.

The individual dog gets rated on every individual exercise, so that a dog can be a Level 1 on one exercise, & Level 6 on another, 4 on a 3rd, & so on. This makes training into a tailor-made process for every dog, & each handler. The dog advances only as s/he passes each assessment for each Level.

The key component IMO is that proofing is written right into the training plan; that ongoing testing process is the only way to check, & discover whether what YOU thought U were teaching the dog, is in fact, what they learned. ;)

Sue Ailsby, AKA Sue-eh?, is a Canadian trainer who is well known among trainers, if not pet owners. She is not only the author of Levels, but teaches disabled handlers to train their own SDs, & has coached many a sports team from beginner to fluency.s
