Can I feed my 2 month puppy Royal Canin Maxi Junior Active.

Probably, but at his age I assume you have just for him from the breeder so given all the big changes in his life, it might be better to keep him on whatever the breeder was using for a couple of weeks. Then, in my opinion, Royal Canin isn't the best. Have a look at www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk for better alternatives.

There are much better foods available . Have a look at 'allaboutdogfood'

They give independent reviews on dog food and give them arks out of 5

Do you have any suggestions

It depends on what suits your dog and your budget. What is he eating now?

I am feeding the puppy what the breeder gave me.

Which is Arden Grange Puppy and Junior Large Breed.

Well, it ranks higher than Royal Canin on the independent review website all about dog food. have a look at this link. You can enter details about your dog's age, weight etc and it will come uo with a list ranked with marks out of 5. Choose the highest ranking one you can afford.

We fed our youngster Orijen large breed puppy and she did really really well on it , but when she was about 8/9 months she got bored and we changed her food . Millie wolf heart is a good all stages food too .

For me i look at the ingredients and if the first few ingredients are grains or meat derivatives i stay well away from it ./

Remember , the better quality the food is the less you will have to feed compared to the cheaper foods with lots of fillers . Expensive food does not mean its a good food . The ones you see at the vets , the ones the vets seem to push come out quite low in independent reviews and actually contain very little meat .

Although origin was very expensive and hard to get hold of , it was only about 20p a day more to feed than crap like bakers because she needed much less . So while some food may look a lot cheaper per kg , you won't need to feed as much . Remember too that puppies need a lot more in weight than when they are fully grown so its really important to get your pup weighed on a regular basis and feed the amount the growth charts say for that particular food on the packet.
