Can Dogs Eat Lamb?

OK, silly question I know, but is it safe for dogs to eat lamb? We had a joint of lamb for lunch today and there's a fair amount left over. Is it OK to cut it off the bone and add it to our dog's meals? Whilst I have seen a few lamb treats around I don't recall seeing an actual lamb dog food (usually beef, chicken and so on), hence my question

Pretty sure I'v e seen cans of food with lamb suggested. Others might know better than me though.

Murphy eats fresh lamb both the meat as well as harts and liver.. just dont give lamb bone..

Depending on the age of the lamb, it can be an unweaned infant or [in the USA] a whopping 150#, 9-MO meat-breed from west of the Mississippi. The baby will be more tender & lean; the teenager will be more muscular & RICHER, with more fat.

I'd be sure to trim off visible fat, & I wouldn't give too much at one time - I'd freeze the mother-lode in portions, after trimming the fat away, & defrost it as i wanted to use it.

Yep,I get lamb mince for Jake and my local pet shop does lamb ears and other lamb treats

I've seen it in lots of commercial foods and his current treats are lamb based

Yes of course our dogs can eat lamb/mutton. From new born to very old, it's all edible meat.

Yes you can feed lamb as many have stated, never give cooked bones from any meat. You can if comfortable give raw bones they are amazing at keeping teeth clean etc. We feature blogs on all types of bones, treats and meat good for dogs mostly on raw but if you feed cooked you can apply the same theory
