Book recommendation wanted - new pup

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and am looking for some book recommendations. Basic obedience and puppy training is all i am after.
My wife and I are due to collect our new pup on the 1st of June and whereas this is not my first dog, it is my wife's! So something to train her will be good.

I highly recommend "The Perfect Puppy" y Gwen Bailey.

I had this book for my first puppy and read it cover to cover and followed it pretty much the letter and it is brilliant!!!

Very simple to follow and if you do follow the book and be consistent then house training, bed time, feeding time etc etc will all come together nicely for you.

I also recommend you get him booked in for puppy classes. You need to socialize your puppy as soon as they are allowed outside and puppy classes are great way for them to mingle with other puppies and learn how to behave around them. it is also a good way to form a bond between you and your dog. In your case the wife!

I've seen a lot of people recommending that book as well. Personally I prefer The Happy Puppy Handbook' by Pippa Martinson but that's just me ( I have both!).
