Hi. I'm absolutely frantic and am letting as many people know as possible. My son is dogsitting for us and he has lost one of the dogs. She managed to slip her lead somehow. We live in Belper, Derbyshire and she was lost about tea time this evening. She is 13 months old, black with white feet and a white patch on her chest, her name is Pearl. She is wearing a collar with our land line number on and she is microchipped. the awful thing is that we are visiting relatives in Sussex for the weekend and so are miles away. He is only 19 and is distraught. He's let the police know. We haven't even got the car here with us as we came by train. Please can anyone in the area keep a look out for her. Karen

So sorry to hear your Whippet has gone missing. :( I do hope she is found soon. :luck:

Have you registered her on the Dog Lost website?

Sorry, I forgot to add a contact number. My son's phone is 07511901007. I am back in Belper now, managed to get a train back this morning. No news of her at all, I'm frantic. She is on Dog Lost now. Thankyou

Fingers crossed you find her soon sending lots of luck your way

LOTS OF LOVE THE BLUE GANG XXXXXXXX

Still no sign of my girl, she seems to have vanished off the face of the earth. If anyone in the Belper area could possibly print off the poster for her on Dog Lost and stick it up for me, shops, etc, I would be so grateful. There's only so many places I can get to on my own.

I have just read this on the Dog Lost site and TWF - 'pearl found her own way home at 3.40am this morning'

Brilliant news that Pearl is home safe and sound.  What a clever girl.

I've been following Pearl on Dog Lost too. I didn't realise she belonged to someone on here! And yes, I've just seen that she is home too. Fantastic news - you must be so relieved. :D

Brilliant news :D

Pearl's owners must be overjoyed to have her home safe.

that's wonderful news - very glad she's home safe now

Thanks so much everyone for all your kind thoughts. Pearl is a bit thin and very tired, but otherwise seems OK. I am still in a daze and can't believe she is back! I have to keep pinching myself. She seems very happy to be back. Off to bed in a minute as I'm suddenly shattered. Thankyou all again from a VERY relieved me and Pearl.
