Bicycle baskets

I am just about to rehome a terrier puppy, and since I do a lot of cycling I was thinking about getting a carrier to attach to the handlebars.

Does anybody have any experience of buying/using one of these? I've seen a few advertised but the reviews are mixed.

I think you need to see it, my auntie uses one with her terrier and one she got online wasn't very good but was cheap. She went into her local pet shop and found one that was more expensive but was off a far better quality and they helped her fit it to her bike.

I used to have a Yorkshire terrier who loved coming with me when I went out on my bike . I bought a plain wicker basket which attached to the handle bars although it did sag a bit ! The type you get depends on the size of your dog . My current dogs are still toy breed but considerably bigger than a yorkie and they wouldn't fit in a basket so I have considered a trailer for them instead.
