Hi everyone,

does anyone in the staffs/cheshire area know if the annual lurcher/terrier/companion show is still on at the famous Betley show?

No ads have appeared and although the agricultural show is advertised the dog shows are not.

PM me if you wish to

Cheers,Morganna :)

Someone did say to me it was this Saturday but I don't know as I haven't seen it advertised either .One of my puppy owners did say about going but I'm not 100% sure about it

This is information from another website , hope it helps

I've got the schedule for the Betley Show in front of me.

Entries for the Betley Dog Show is at 10am (fee to enter dog is £1)...judging commences at 11am. This is in the main ring. There are pedigree classes, novelty classes and obedience. On the schedule it says that these are held under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations.

Then there is a Terrier and Lurcher Show (fee £1.00 per dog, per class). Entries from 9.30am on day of show and judging commences at 12.30 (approx).

There is also a Gun dog scurry (fee £1.00 per dog) and entries from 12 noon.

According to the Programme of Events you have the following:

From early morning - Horse Show/Jumping, Terrier and Lurchers/Dog Events, Working Dog, Duck and Sheep Demos, Cavy Show

From around lunchtime - marquee displays open after judging (noon). Gardeners question time (with BBC/ITV panel members) - apparently there are prizes to be won. Vintage machinery, cars, classic motorbike scramble and gypsy caravan.
