Hi all "bark"
My name's belle. Well that's what my new mummy calls me. I had a rough start in life as I was given up with my sister by a homeless man who didn't want us anymore "wimper"
Mommy found me through the vets who was looking after us and we instantly fell in love.
I love my new home but I am a little confused as to where I am meant to go for a wee. Now mummy likes me to go outside which I love doing for her as I get to sniff the grass and see where the moggy from next door has been. But daddy has put lots of soft pieces of paper on the floor so I use them when he is home.
I was a naughty girl the other day and I ate something I shouldn't of but now I have a poorly belly and mum has stopped all my treats and is making me chicken and rice for my dinner instead. I try to say sorry to mummy for eating the moss and things in the garden but they taste soooooo nice I find it had to resist.
Anyhoo mummy says I'm getting better and can soon have my treats again "woof and tail wag"
Well I better go and see what that moggy has been doing in the garden again so "WOOF" for now .

Dennis just did a sigh as if to say " Ah the good old days of eating anything you can possibly find" :D

mummy said as I have been good I can have my bone back... yummmmmm

she's so sweet

yes defiantly some terrier! she looks like she has quite long legs in the photo to!

Woof.
I was a naughty girl last night. Mummy took me up to bed and before she had chance to put me into my crate i jumped on her bed and had to wee. Lets just say mummy was not too pleased with me. She seems to of forgiven me today but i think i will be put outside to do my thing a lot more today.
I have found that when the sun goes to bed the door I go out to the garden had another dog looking back at me. But whenever I get let out I can't find her. Mummy says it's my reflection but I don't know what she means. Mummy said she is going to have to wash the door as my nose and paw prints are all over it. Don't tell her but I will soon put them back.
Anyhoo better get back to the comfy spot on mummys chair and snooze for a bit before my next food time.

Just remember to tell your mum this Belle....

Belle, Jasper says you need to get your owners trained - they obviously need to give you much higher-value rewards for coming back when called and weeing in the garden!

She is a little darling. Been trying to figure out what breed she is a mix of. Think it's either a Brazilian terrier or a whippet cross jrt.

Sometimes when I'm wondering if there's whippet or greyhound in a dog I see, I can tell the moment it runs - if you (and other people) go 'Oh wow' when Belle runs, that could confirm that there's some whippet in her.

Other times, I let Jasper decide... sighthounds tend to love other sighthounds so if I'm in doubt but he perks up at the sight of the other dog, and goes over to introduce himself with a wagging tail (low wag, not a high wag which is what he does when he's sizing up a young male who might need putting in his place:oops:), I'll take that as evidence that there's some pointy dog in there somewhere.

JudyN, yes its interesting to see how they tend to spot other sight hounds, in Folly's mind dogs appear to be most dogs, Sighthounds and then top of the pile Whippets. The funny thing with her is she is not happy with large black dogs, but the odd time she's come across a black Greyhound she has been happy to go up to it.

Woof
Been busy tearing up the garden and tasting all of mummys pretty plants. She was not too happy and has moved all the pots up high. Apparently I am not allowed to dig them up and eat them.
Mummy has been teaching me new tricks like now I can sit lay down and stay when asked and we are working on leave it not that I want to but it makes mummy happy and paw for daddy.
Mummy says she can't wait till tomorrow when I have my last set of jabs....what's jabs...and I can go out for walks with her. Tbh I can't wait to see what's outside the gate.
I have found a new game to play with mummy. She throws my ball for me and I go get it. But when she asks me for it I tease her and we end up playing chase around the garden.
All this exercise has worn me out so time for a nap.
So woof for now.

You're a cheeky girl Belle! :p

Jabs are great, Belle - you'll love them! Just ask your mummy to check with the vet, because when Jasper had his last jabs (which he really enjoyed, honest, don't let him tell you otherwise), he couldn't go on walks for another week because they took a while to take effect. He is all growed up now though, so they might have even better jabs nowadays that work straight away!

It will be fine Belle promise... some plants can make you ill so that's why mum has moved them she's making sure your not going to be ill! :)

Woof
Morning all. Well went to the vets yesterday and had those poxy jabs...I did not like them one bit but the homemade treat mummy gave me was worth it. The lady at the vets said I could go out the next day so first thing this morning mummy took me for my first walk around the park. It was cold but so much fun. I met a little white westie and was unsure of her at first but soon wanted to play. So many smells and things to look at. I didn't like crossing the roads so mummy made a game of it and we run across them. When we got home I just fell onto my favourite cushion and went to sleep. Mummy says I just have to learn to do my wee on the walk and she will be happy.
Anyhoo I need some snoozies now as mummy says we are going out again later
Woof for now x
