The bitch is a Russian import. Thus she has mostly Russian dogs in her pedigree, but some English dogs on her mother's side and some French after her sire. ) As well as Baton has some English and French bloodlines, but far away in his pedigree, after Russian and Polish dogs.

You see, whippets appeared here in Ukraine only at the beginning of 1990th (a bit earlier in Russia - end of 1980th), and several years those first imported dogs were only mated inside Russia or Ukraine (at that time USSR of course). And till nowdays I assume we didn't receive more than 20 litters in Ukraine (since about 94th where first Ukrainian litters were born), maybe even less. And only last year for the first time we've got a litter sired by the dog from abroad. There are some new imported dogs in Ukraine and we're planning to get some good new dogs soon and really hope that whippets here will become more quality and more popular than GSD.
