Bathing after flea treatments

Seeing lots of conflicting advice

My dog had/has fleas (haven’t seen any, only flea dirt and a few tiny suspicious things that weren’t moving ). He had advocate just over 2 weeks ago and I really want to bath him.

Some say don’t bathe as it reduced effects of flea treatment but it will be easier for me to groom him when he’s wet and i want to get the flea dirt off him.

I’ve also treated my entire house just in case.

advice please?

(Please don’t judge about giving him a spot on treatment, I don’t usually but was desperate)

From a quick google, Advocate recommend bathing for 48 hours, so you should be fine. Though I am just 'another google source', so you might want to read the leaflet that came with the treatment (if you haven't already), and if that's no help, look for helpline info for Advocate and ask them.

There's nothing wrong with using a spot-on IMO - yes, you hear horror stories about side effects, but these are generally wildly exaggerated, and fleas are a pest you really don't want hanging around!
