Back legs giving up

So very sad for you, heartbreaking to see him like that but you’ll know in your own mind when the time is right, toughest decision to make :( sending hugs to you and Den. xxx

So sorry Josie,It was the hardest decision we had to make as a family when it was time to allow our dog in a million Travis go,looking back I think we should of made the decision earlier

Thank you - I always knew this would be the hardest decision we would ever have to make when getting a dog. It’s just so rubbish that it’s up to us to say when it’s time.

I’m sorry to hear about your Travis. Dogs are such a big part of the family.

Hard decision to make but if life for him is such a struggle now it sounds as if letting him go would be the kindest thing. Always remember a day too early is better than a day too late and you must do what you know is best for the dog you love.

Thank you - he still seems too young :-(
I’m really hoping a good week of rest will help him

Our Molly was only 9 when we lost her a year ago but we knew we couldn’t let her go on as she was , you look at them and think yes, she looks better today but we know we were only putting off the inevitable, still have a few tears over her because she was so special and so very loved....off to get some tissues...xx

Josie, I'm sorry to hear this :( Do you think he is happy, or at least content? Fingers crossed he might perk up when the weather's cooled down a little.

its one of the most difficult decisions to make josie but you will know yourself when it's time. Sad to hear sending you and Dennis hugs xx

I don’t think he has been happy recently no. I’m not sure if it’s the weather or because his legs are sore. I think maybe I’ve pushed him thinking he’s been ready to do more and hasn’t been.
He won’t eat the Lilly’s kitchen so I’ll have to go back to cooking human food again

How is Den doing this morning

He’s ok this morning, has managed to get up and go outside for a wee and some breakfast. Lastnight we couldn’t even get him up to do a wee, Oli carried him to the garden and he just collapsed :-(
We’re going to put a date on it. We’ve also ordered him some CBD to try.

thank you for asking x

I hope the CBD makes a difference to Dennis:)
12 1/2 is a very good age for a large breed dog

Even little bit of good news is good to hear..sounds like rest has done some good for him.

So sorry Josie.
I'm sure were all behind you, and that only you can make the right decision.

Sending gentle hugs for Dennis.

So sorry to hear about Den Josie, it's the hardest thing ever when our dogs get older and poorly...hopefully resting and the cbd will help make him more comfortable...thinking of you all

Thank you all - it means a lot to know fellow dog lovers and owners are behind us.

He was much better yesterday so we’re keeping him rested and I got him some duck to cook up which he liked.
