Arthritis in dogs

thats great news.. bit by bit you get your dog having fun with you again..

yay for murphy! cage rest must be so hard, i can't imagine it, :)

Murphy is almost at the end of 15 weeks enforced cage rest. . . . . . . . Back to the specialist on Wednesday for 11 weeks post op check up and x-rays all being well I can open the cage door and set him free!!!!!!!!

Still a little nervous about what they will say but I have stuck to every single rule, his food has been reduced, his walks timed to the second, I have lifted him on the sofa for cuddles, avoided friends with bouncy dogs, so I know I have given him the best possible chance of all being well so fingers crossed for the all clear xxx

We are just home from the vets, Murphy was sedated and xrayed - he has been given the go-ahead to start walking and getting off lead again, have to spend 6 weeks building up the amount he gets to walk until he is running around the woods off lead again as normal! Soooooooooo happy he is healing well, but the best part is that the cage is redundant, he can resume his sleeping on the sofa, he can play with Rufus, he is FREE!! To celebrate we stopped on the way home and got him a new Spiderman duvet cover, new duvet and a new Beaver bum toy from pets at home, currently still a bit sleepy on his new duvet!!! I will wake him shortly for his dinner.

How is Murphy doing now? Have been reading your posts and would love an update!
