water is gently trickling through our kitchen ceiling from toilet cistern above...

i've turned the water off...do i need to do anything else? till morning.....

can see fault on cistern....

what fault can you see on your cistern, if youve turned off the main water supply, it should be ok

prior to turning the water off water was trickling from the cistern underneath via nuts/bolt connection whatever you call it.....brass bits.....

stopped now water is turned off......

Try and hook the ball cock inside the system up so that it doesnt keep filling up with water and bail it out so that the cistern is empty. When you need to flush the loo, just pour water down the bowl instead of flushing.

Yeh should be ok till morning not much of a job to put right
