My 2 cents - if the puppy is doing well now, and the vet is happy, I would just move on and enjoy life. In the big schema of dog ownership (and future costs of food, vet, etc.) the extra 100 spent upfront will not make any difference. This is not the last time she got sick. On the bright side -...
Now here is a nice sign, isn't it? In contrast to often displayed "No dogs allowed on grass"...
Despite everything we read in the papers these days, there is still kindness out there. Cheers to that, and Happy Holidays to everyone.
Wow.. I just had a read at this, didn't know this was in the works. It seems that a great number of dogs could fit the very vague definition.. But I guess in practical terms there are a few defined things that need to be done - certificate, muzzle training, microchip, insurance, etc. Seems...
An aging dream of mine came true last week, thanks to Baby Miles who was paying attention on our morning walk in the woods - we found a lost dog, a good size black lab. He had no tags, so we waited, and waited.. and waited.. and eventually ran out of patience and took him home.
Good thing that...
Hope all bipeds and quadrupeds are well and ready for the holiday season!
Baby Miles just turned 4 y.o. Scary, isn't it? :)
Here is what he's been doing this year - spending time with friends, joining us on all kinds of explorations, and being a very, very good boy!
My 2 cents - sitting on the sofa is overrated! unless you are seniors and really need to rest, my tip would be to forget sitting on the sofa for a while, and just spend time with the little devil.
Not only they grow out of zoomies/biting/crazy - they grow out of all this way too fast, and so now...
I took this picture in Central Park in NYC last weekend. A man and his elderly dog.
The man's arm stretched so the dog can rest his head on it... Gentle stroking...
This is love, isn't it? It was a beautiful scene.
Every day is precious. This guy gets it.
My 2 cents, having my 2nd large intact male - no matter how gentle he can be with the dogs of all kinds that he knows, his reaction to strange dogs can be… quite dramatic. And scary to some. I can see this reaction coming, the stiffness of his tail is a reliable sign, but the time it gives me to...
It's good to have next door neighbors with big dogs!
Chocolate lab girl - about 2 y.o.
White akbash boy - about 1 y.o. The interesting thing about him is that he is intact, just like Miles (3 y.o. Ridgeback), so we have 2 young intact males in this mix.
Miles has usually the least amount of...
