So sorry.....I lost Harvey just over a month ago :( I was so shocked and had to take a couple days leave from work. There are no easy words to say.....take it easy and be kind to yourself......and remember the good times.

I lost my whippet in a tragic accident just over 4 weeks ago......I am now without a whippet :( He was my bed partner when I slept alone :) I even put the electric blanket on for a few minutes to take away the chill for him ;) Although I have my other mutts....boy do I miss him :(

Lost my Sunny to the same type of symptoms....as you say....at first you put it down to old age. His condition went down hill in a few weeks. He didn't appear to be in pain....his quality of life just wasn't there.....so we let him go to the bridge :(

All my mutts get along together :) 4 of them sleep in my room every night. Our smallest lurcher sleeps in my daughters room....he is her muttley. Affies are lovely dogs (they are a huge commitment because of the grooming)....my two are very different.....one is quite aloof and doesn't like...

In my home we have a lurcher...three quarter whippet an one quarter beddy. A whippet. A large lurcher. A 2 year old Afghan. A nearly 4 month Afghan pup. Love them all to bits The large lurcher is the most vocal and a complete cuddle monster. The little lurcher loves to learn tricks an loves...

What no whippet :o I would have an Afghan....but then I have one :) I love wolfhounds, deerhounds, borzoi, greyhound, lurchers.....guess I'm a hound gal :p BUT...I wouldn't turn a standard poodle awy :lol:
