I just dispair sometimes......
Today, I was driving home, with Merlin, our 10 month old Mad whippet, and saw a lost looking grey/blue whippet wandering the street. He had no collar, but looked well fed--(actually quite fat for a whippet) I stopped and tried to coax him to me, but just like a...
There were some available in Carmarthenshire but I forget the breeder,
Try http://www.epupz.co.uk/search/results.asp?...ubmit=Search+++
Its a puppy locator service, but I dont know how reputable the breeders will be...........
Yes, perhaps he is embarressed by his name! I know Ive been a little embarressed shouting it out!--Bit pointless, as he ignores it anyway and we both look stupid!
We have decided to re-name him, as he doesnt respond We have decided Merlin is quite a nice name, which he slowly seems to be...
Things are settling down slowly. He slept like a log last night, half under the quilt, as Whippets do!
Theyve all been for a nice walk this morning on Pennard Cliffs, which seems to have done wonders for the tensions that were present We took the decision to try him off the lead, and he...
Well, Not long arrived back, after a horrendous trip involving duff directions furnished by a friend, Roadworks on the M25, and my own lack of sense of direction!
We arrived to pick up Elvis at around 3-30 (an hour or two late!) but thankfully Linda didnt mind too much!
Elvis...
Unfortunately its not just the vets!
The drug companies who supply vets, subsiduaries like Arnolds, who supply Vetoryl for the treatment of Cushings disease, charge exorbitant amounts for the capsules.
The Human approved version is MODRENAL = 63 quid for 100 caps, 60mg. Trilostane :oops...
Looks like we have a bit of luck in our search for a Whippet needing a home. (w00t)
A little while back, I contacted Linda Jones of the JR Whippet Rescue, to tell her of Spot's passing, and to see if there were any that needed a home. She called this week, to say there was a little black boy...
Jake Whippet looks a lovely little chap! We are currently looking for a Whippet as company for our two. Untill recently there were three, but Spot passed away a couple of weeks ago and is sadly missed by all, Brewster was pining terribly, but thankfully he's getting a lot better now...
I know exactly what you mean- it is so strange when one of the company is missing-this has happened to us a few times. Everything seems out of balance somehow..... I loved your story, you are a natural writer!
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Ive been keeping an eye on K9, and contacted a few people...
Brewster is an awful lot better now. It was bad to see him so low, it just made us feel worse. Rocky seems to be fine all the time which is odd, as Rocky and Spot seemed the closest, always snuggling up together.
We are still looking for a Whippet, It just doesnt seem right at the moment with...
I remember when not long after we had Spot, We were visiting the mother-in-law, and Brewster and Spot were playing quite roughly.
Our first Whippet from the JR Whippet rescue, Skippy, was sitting on the sofa, observing all the rucus, and must have decided that he had had enough! One quick sharp...
Somehow it seems to have helped me by telling their tales. Hopefully it wont be too long before there are three again!
Thanks to everyone for your kind words and the advice for Rocky's threadbare coat!--Ill give that a try!
If anyone hears of a small Whippet, preferably a boy looking for a...
It all started around 8 years ago. We were living in a house in the country. After much thought, planning, we decided to adopt a doggie from the local rescue centre. We visited many times, and found a little friend in Brewster, who is a small ginger coloured 57 varieties. He very quickly became...
